Food & Household Foil

<p>Food and household foil has to do two jobs at once: it must be safe for direct food contact, and it must be thin enough to be economical while still strong enough not to tear when someone pulls it off the roll. We supply it in 8011 and 1235 alloy, from 0.008 mm for a light household wrap up to 0.02 mm and above where the foil has to hold its shape.</p><h2>Documentation for food contact</h2><p>For food contact we work to the documentation that buyers actually have to file. Depending on your market that means a declaration of compliance, migration test data and, where the foil is lacquered or laminated, evidence covering the coating as well as the metal. Tell us the destination market and we will send the paperwork that applies to it rather than a generic certificate.</p><h2>Retail and food-service formats</h2><p>Household rolls are supplied embossed or plain, in widths from 290 mm to 450 mm and lengths from 5 m to 100 m, in colour boxes, plain cartons or shrink wrap, with or without a cutter bar. Pop-up interleaved sheets, catering rolls up to 600 mm wide and food-service container foil are part of the same range, and all of them can carry your own brand.</p><h2>Runnability beats the last micron</h2><p>If you are specifying for a supermarket programme, the runnability on a high-speed wrapping machine usually matters more than the last 0.001 mm of gauge, so tell us the machine and we will aim the specification at it. Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and private label work is handled from box design through to shelf-ready packing.</p>
