<p>Battery and energy foil is the thin-gauge end of our aluminium foil range, supplied for energy storage and battery-adjacent applications. Battery materials are listed among the applications our aluminium foil covers, and this page gathers the specification questions that come with that use into one place: alloy, temper, thickness, width, core and surface, plus what has to be agreed before a quotation can be fixed.</p><h2>Specification questions we ask first</h2><p>Our published foil range runs from 0.005 mm to 0.20 mm, in widths from 100 mm to 1500 mm and on 76 mm or 152 mm cores. The full published alloy range is available - 1050, 1060, 1100, 1235, 3003, 3004, 8011, 8021 and 8079 - with tempers from soft O through H14, H16, H18, H22 and H24. For battery and energy work the decisive question is not which single grade is correct, but which combination your own process will accept, so we quote against the process rather than against a catalogue number. Final thickness, temper and surface finish are confirmed against your process before the specification is frozen.</p><h2>What we need from you</h2><p>Send the target thickness and its tolerance, the alloy or the property you are trying to meet, the slit width and width tolerance, the core diameter, the surface condition you need, and whether the foil will be coated or laminated downstream. Surface is supplied mill finish or bright, smooth or embossed, and can be plain or supplied for coating and lamination. The most useful thing you can tell us is the process step that follows ours - coating, slitting, winding or forming - because that is what decides the requirement. Rolls are supplied eye to sky or eye to wall on wooden pallets with a moisture barrier wrap for sea freight.
