Packaging & Container Foil

<p>Container and packaging foil is where foil stops being a wrapping material and becomes a structure. A smooth-wall container, a wrinkled-wall baking tray and a lidding film all start from the same alloy family but need very different forming behaviour.</p><h2>Container stock and lidding</h2><p>We supply container stock in 8011, 3003 and 3004, in soft O for deep drawing and H24 where the tray has to keep its shape under load, with thickness from 0.03 mm to 0.09 mm. Semi-rigid and rigid gauges are quoted against the container dimensions rather than by gauge alone, because draw depth and corner radius determine whether the material survives the press. Lidding and closure foil for dairy, cream and ready-meal packs is supplied plain, lacquered or heat-seal coated, and is normally specified against the sealing layer and the container rim geometry.</p><h2>Converter foil for laminates</h2><p>Light-gauge packaging foil for flexible laminates, lids, sachets and pouches closes out the range, from 0.006 mm in 1235, 8079 and 8011 alloy, plain, lacquered or pre-laminated. Tight thickness tolerances matter here because a few microns decide whether the laminate blocks light and moisture properly.</p><h2>Send the container, not a gauge</h2><p>For food-service trays, stackability and the ability to go from freezer to oven without distortion are usually the deciding requirements. If you send the container or pack you are trying to match, including wall thickness and draw depth, we will propose the alloy, temper and gauge instead of asking you to guess at a number. Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size.</p>
