Product description
1050 aluminium foil at 0.02 mm in H18 is a technical foil, supplied 1200 mm wide on 76 mm or 152 mm cores.
The industrial range is supplied from 0.02 mm to 0.20 mm in 1050, 1060, 1100, 3003, 3004 and 8011 alloy. At 0.02 mm this product sits at the thin end of that band, which is the part of the range where the foil works as a facing or a barrier rather than as a structural part.
1050 is the least alloyed grade in the range, and at this gauge that is the reason to choose it. A thin foil has to wrap, fold at an edge and follow a substrate without cracking, and the pure grade gives the most room to do that. The trade is strength: a facing in 1050 at 0.02 mm will not carry a load the way the manganese alloys do, so the two are picked for different jobs rather than ranked against each other.
H18 is the full-hard temper supplied here. It gives the foil a defined stiffness out of the roll, so a facing stays flat across a span, cuts cleanly and does not sag between supports before it is fixed. Soft temper is available where the foil has to drape and follow a shape instead.
What settles the specification is the fixing, not the alloy table: whether the foil is bonded to a substrate or left self-supporting, whether the face will be seen, whether it is folded at an edge, and how it will be jointed to the next roll.
Typical uses include industrial insulation facings, vapour barrier layers and technical conversion work.
Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the width, the temper you need and the surface condition, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
