1050 aluminium foil at 0.1 mm is a heavier industrial gauge supplied in H24 for insulation facing, vapour barriers and HVAC work. It is available in widths from 100 mm to 1500 mm and on 76 mm or 152 mm cores.
At 0.1 mm the foil has enough stiffness and tensile strength to survive handling on site: it can be unwound, cut and applied without the tearing that thin converter gauges suffer. That is why this gauge is commonly specified for duct and pipe insulation facings, vapour barrier laminates and foil-scrim-kraft constructions, where the facing has to stay intact once it is fitted.
Surface condition matters as much as gauge where the foil is to be laminated or bonded. 1050 foil at this thickness is supplied mill finish or bright, and can be specified for downstream coating or adhesive lamination; tell us the adhesive or coating system and the intended substrate so that the surface can be agreed in advance.
Typical applications include HVAC duct and pipe insulation, vapour barrier laminates, foil-scrim-kraft facing, and general industrial wrapping and shielding. Foil at this gauge is also used where a reflective surface has to be carried by a board or film.
Rolls are supplied eye to sky or eye to wall on wooden pallets with a moisture barrier wrap for sea freight. Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai.
