Product description
1100 aluminium foil at 0.05 mm is supplied in H18 for insulation facing, cable wrap and general industrial conversion. It is available in widths from 100 mm to 1500 mm and on 76 mm or 152 mm cores.
H18 is a hard temper, so at 0.05 mm the foil holds its shape well and resists the stretching that softer tempers show under tension. That is useful wherever the foil is unwound, laminated or wrapped at speed, and wherever the finished facing has to stay flat once it is fitted. It is commonly specified for insulation facing and vapour barrier constructions, cable wrap and shielding, and general industrial wrapping.
Surface condition decides how well the foil accepts an adhesive or a coating. At this thickness 1100 foil is supplied mill finish or bright, and can be specified for downstream coating or adhesive lamination; tell us the adhesive or coating system and the intended substrate so that the surface can be agreed in advance.
Typical uses also include adhesive tape substrate, where the foil has to be clean and flat before it is coated, and where the slit edge quality matters as much as the gauge. Where the foil is supplied as a substrate rather than a finished facing, the surface has to suit the coating line rather than the end application.
Rolls are supplied eye to sky or eye to wall on wooden pallets with a moisture barrier wrap for sea freight. Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the required temper, width and core diameter together with the process step that follows ours, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
