Product description
1100 aluminium foil at 0.1 mm in H18 is a heavy-gauge industrial foil, supplied 1200 mm wide on 76 mm or 152 mm cores and available plain or lacquered.
The industrial and technical range runs from 0.005 mm to 0.20 mm, and 0.1 mm sits in the upper part of it. At this gauge the material stops behaving like a wrapping foil and starts behaving like a thin sheet: it holds a bend, it can be cut and folded into shape, and it does not need a substrate to stay flat.
1100 is the commercially pure alloy in the range, and that is the reason it is used at this gauge. Where the job is forming, spinning, folding or sheathing rather than carrying load, the pure alloy gives the ductility to work the metal without cracking at a tight radius, which the stronger alloys resist. The trade is stiffness: a part in 1100 at 0.1 mm will not carry the same load as the same part in a manganese alloy, so the two are chosen for different jobs rather than ranked.
H18 is the full-hard temper the range supplies for this work. It gives the foil a defined stiffness out of the roll and a clean cut edge, and it is the temper that suits jacketing, sheathing and parts that are formed once rather than flexed repeatedly.
What decides the specification is the operation, not the alloy table: whether the foil will be folded, rolled, punched or bonded, how tight the bend radius is, whether the surface will be seen, and whether it will be joined to another material. Those questions are cheaper to settle before the coil is slit.
Typical uses include industrial jacketing, sheathing, fabricated parts and technical conversion.
Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the width, the temper you need and the surface condition, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
