Product description
1050 aluminium foil at 0.012 mm in O temper is a thin converter web, supplied 1200 mm wide on 76 mm or 152 mm cores.
The foil-roll range runs from 0.006 mm to 0.20 mm. At 0.012 mm this product sits in the thin part of that range, where the foil works as a functional layer inside a structure rather than as a sheet that carries itself.
Thin converter work is decided by what happens after the roll is opened. At 0.012 mm the web has almost no stiffness of its own, so it follows the substrate it is bonded to and takes its flatness from the laminating line. That is an advantage where the finished product has to conform to a shape, and a problem where the line cannot hold tension evenly across the width.
O temper is fully soft, which is what a laminating or coating line wants: the metal passes the nip without cracking and folds at an edge without lifting. The trade is that the web has to be supported on its path, because unsupported thin foil will crease rather than bridge a gap.
What the gauge does not settle is the surface. Whether the foil is bonded, lacquered or left bare decides what the next process needs from it, and that is agreed against the customer's own laminate rather than chosen from a table.
Typical uses include thin converter webs for laminates, technical facing layers and barrier plies.
Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the laminate structure, the width and the handling path, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
