Product description
1060 aluminium foil at 0.06 mm in O temper is a converter web for printing, lacquering and lamination, supplied 1200 mm wide on 76 mm or 152 mm cores.
A web that is going to be printed is specified differently from one that will only wrap. The surface has to accept ink evenly, the web has to run flat enough to hold register, and the metal has to survive the tension of a press without stretching out of tolerance.
1060 is the plainest of the common alloys, and that is the point. There is very little in it to influence how the surface behaves, so a converter who has set a process around a plain grade gets the same response coil after coil. The O temper keeps the web supple enough to wrap a cylinder and follow a press path without cracking.
At 0.06 mm the web has enough body to be handled without a carrier, but it is still light enough that tension control decides the result. Too much tension and the web narrows; too little and it wanders.
What the converter should ask for is consistency in three things: gauge across the width, flatness at the edges, and a face free of residue. Residue is the one that hides - it does not show on the roll and only appears as a print defect or a patchy lacquer film further down the line.
Typical uses include printed converter webs, lacquered foil for lidding and laminating stock for flexible structures.
Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the print process, the ink system and the finished structure, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
