Product description
1050 aluminium foil at 0.03 mm in O temper is a general converting stock, supplied 1200 mm wide on 76 mm or 152 mm cores.
1050 is the least alloyed grade in the range we roll. There is nothing in it to add strength, so what it offers is the widest forming window of any grade here. It bends to a tight radius, it stretches before it breaks, and it takes a shape rather than fighting it.
At 0.03 mm the web has also left the band where foil has to be carried through the line. It can span a gap between rollers, hold tension across a wide face and run unsupported for a stretch, which is what a converting line asks of it before the ply is bonded into a structure.
Where the metal is this soft, surface and gauge consistency do the work. A web that varies across its width will not lie flat in a nip, and a web with a crease will not laminate without a witness mark. Those are the things we control on the roll, and they matter more at this temper than the alloy number does.
What the grade cannot do is resist. If the part has to hold a shape under load, stay stiff in a nested stack or survive being handled as a component, a manganese-bearing grade from the same gauge band does that better, and specifying 1050 for it would be the wrong trade.
Typical uses include general converting stock, facing plies, and laminates where the foil has to conform rather than resist.
Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the structure, the width and the line, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
