Product description
1060 aluminium foil at 0.02 mm in H18 is a thin-gauge roll for battery and energy components, supplied 1200 mm wide on 76 mm or 152 mm cores.
The battery and energy range publishes foil from 0.005 mm to 0.20 mm in widths from 100 mm to 1500 mm, and 1060 is the alloy the range uses most. At 0.02 mm the foil sits in the middle of the thin band rather than at its edge, and that is usually a deliberate choice: it is the gauge a customer settles on after finding the thinnest trial gauge too fragile for the run and a heavier one unnecessary.
What separates this gauge from the ones either side of it is not the alloy but how the web behaves. A little more metal than the thinnest gauge means the foil carries tension over a longer run without the web narrowing, and it is less sensitive to a small misalignment at the unwind. A little less than the heavier gauges means the coated layer sits closer to the surface, so the customer's drying or curing step does not have to work through as much metal.
Hard temper H18 keeps the web flat under tension so it does not stretch or crease at the coating station, and keeps the roll from telescoping when it is unwound at speed. The requirements underneath do not change with gauge: consistent thickness across the width, a surface the customer's process expects, and an edge clean enough to run hundreds of metres without a defect appearing.
Typical uses include battery and energy components, coating substrates and other thin-gauge work where the foil is processed further.
Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the gauge, the slit width and the surface condition you need, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
