1060 aluminium foil at 0.025 mm is a thin gauge supplied for battery and energy applications, in widths from 100 mm to 1500 mm and on 76 mm or 152 mm cores. Battery materials are listed among the applications our aluminium foil covers, and this page is the product-level specification for that use.
At 0.025 mm the foil is thin enough to keep the material weight of a component low while still being handleable on a slitting or coating line. Alloy and temper are taken from our published range and confirmed against your own process, because the step that follows ours is what decides the requirement.
Surface condition matters as much as gauge where the foil is coated or laminated downstream. At this thickness 1060 foil is supplied mill finish or bright, plain or supplied for coating and lamination; tell us the coating or adhesive system and the intended substrate so that the surface can be agreed in advance.
Final thickness, temper and surface finish are confirmed against your process before the specification is frozen. Typical uses include battery materials, energy storage applications and substrates for downstream coating or lamination. Where the foil is supplied as a substrate rather than a finished part, the surface has to suit the coating line rather than the end application.
