Product description
1235 aluminium foil at 0.03 mm in O temper is converter stock, supplied 1200 mm wide on 76 mm or 152 mm cores.
1235 is the grade the converting industry settled on because it does not need to be anything else. It is soft, it laminates without fighting the adhesive, and it is regular enough across the web that a printer can set once and run.
At 0.03 mm the ply has left the thin band where the foil is a coating inside someone else's structure. It carries its own weight through the line, holds tension across a wide face, and still folds and creases without cracking. That combination is what a converter asks for when the finished pack has to look flat and stay sealed.
The work at this gauge is done at the surface and at the edge. A web that is not flat will not sit in the nip without a wrinkle, and a slit edge that is not straight will wander on a long run. Those are the two things we control on the roll, and at this temper they decide more about the finished job than the alloy number does.
What 1235 cannot do is add stiffness. Where the pack has to stand up on a shelf or hold a shape in a nested stack, a manganese-bearing or a harder temper from the same gauge band is the right answer, and this grade would be the wrong trade.
Typical uses include converter webs, laminating plies and general packaging structures where a conforming foil is required.
Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the structure and the line, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
