Product description
1100 aluminium foil at 0.06 mm in H16 is semi-rigid packaging stock, supplied 1200 mm wide on 76 mm or 152 mm cores.
1100 is the general-purpose grade of the packaging range: commercially pure, easy to form, and predictable in a laminate where the foil has to sit between a sealant and a print without moving.
At 0.06 mm the material has crossed the point where a pack can hold its own shape. A tray pressed from this gauge keeps its walls, a liner cut from it stays flat when it is dropped into a bag, and neither needs the pack behind it to do the work.
H16 is a partly hardened temper, which is the compromise this gauge is usually asked for: enough stiffness to hold a shallow form, enough ductility left to press it without splitting at the corner radius. Where the form is deeper, a softer temper in the same gauge band is the better answer.
The work at this gauge happens at the forming tool and at the seam. A stock that varies across its width will not draw evenly, and a liner that is not flat will fold over itself as it is inserted. Those are the properties we hold on the roll, because they are the ones the customer's tool cannot correct.
Typical uses include semi-rigid liners, shallow trays and packaging structures that need to keep a shape without a supporting carton.
Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the form, the width and the filling line, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
