Product description
1235 aluminium foil at 0.012 mm is a thin converter gauge supplied for flexible packaging laminates and lidding. It is available in widths from 100 mm to 1500 mm and on 76 mm or 152 mm cores.
At 0.012 mm the foil sits just above the thinnest gauges, which makes it a practical starting point where a laminate has to carry a barrier layer but the structure still has to stay economical. 1235 is one of the grades most often specified at this thickness because it gives consistent formability at high converting speed, and because the surface accepts printing and adhesive bonding reliably.
Thickness tolerance matters more than the nominal figure at this gauge. A few tenths of a micron changes the barrier performance of a finished laminate, so gauge and width tolerance are agreed against your line rather than taken from a catalogue. Foil at this thickness is supplied mill finish or bright, smooth or embossed, depending on whether the next step is adhesive lamination, lacquering or printing.
Typical uses include flexible packaging laminates, lidding and lid film, sachets and pouches, and further slitting and rewinding. Where the foil is to be lacquered or laminated downstream, tell us the coating or adhesive system so that the surface condition can be agreed before the specification is fixed.
Rolls are supplied eye to sky or eye to wall on wooden pallets with a moisture barrier wrap for sea freight. Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the target thickness and tolerance, the slit width and the process step that follows ours, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
