Product description
1235 aluminium foil at 0.015 mm in O temper is a general conversion gauge, supplied 1200 mm wide on 76 mm or 152 mm cores and available plain or lacquered.
The foil roll and sheet range is supplied from 0.005 mm to 0.20 mm, and 1235 is the alloy the range uses for the work that sits between the very thin gauges and the heavy ones. At 0.015 mm the foil is heavy enough to be handled and printed without the web folding on itself, and light enough that a converter still gets useful length from a roll of a given weight.
That middle position is why this gauge turns up so often in enquiries. A buyer who has been running a thinner foil and fighting creasing, or a heavier one and paying for metal the job does not need, usually ends up here. The gauge is not chosen on its own; it is chosen together with the width and the core, because those three decide how the roll behaves on a specific line.
O temper is fully soft. The foil conforms to what it is laid over, folds without springing back, and takes a fold or a wrap that stays where it is put. That is the right answer for laminating, wrapping and general converting, and the wrong answer where the foil has to hold a shape under tension on its own.
What does not change with gauge is the requirement underneath: consistent thickness across the width, a surface the customer's process expects, and an edge clean enough to run a long web without a defect appearing. Width, core diameter and surface finish can all be specified.
Typical uses include laminating, general wrapping, and conversion stock for further processing.
Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the slit width, core diameter and surface condition you need, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
