Product description
1235 aluminium foil at 0.02 mm in H18 is a thin-gauge roll for battery and energy components, supplied 1200 mm wide on 76 mm or 152 mm cores.
The battery and energy range publishes foil from 0.005 mm to 0.20 mm in widths from 100 mm to 1500 mm. 1235 sits alongside 1060 in that range, and the choice between them is usually made by the customer's own process rather than by the catalogue: 1235 is the alloy often chosen where the foil has to be coated, laminated or handled at speed, while 1060 is the more common starting point where the foil carries an active layer.
At 0.02 mm the foil is a carrier, not an end product. Three things decide whether it runs on someone else's line. Gauge consistency across the width comes first, because a web that varies from edge to edge will not coat evenly. Surface condition comes second, since whatever is applied has to bond to what the mill actually delivered. Slitting quality comes third: a rolled-over edge or a burr becomes a defect hundreds of metres into the run, long after the roll looked sound.
Hard temper H18 is what keeps a gauge this thin handleable. The web stays flat under tension rather than stretching or creasing at the coating station, and the roll does not telescope when it is unwound at speed.
Typical uses include battery and energy components, coating and lamination substrates, and other thin-gauge work where the foil is processed further.
Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the gauge, the slit width your line runs and the surface condition you need, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
