Product description
3003 aluminium foil at 0.05 mm is a semi-rigid gauge supplied for container stock and trays. It is available in widths from 100 mm to 1500 mm and on 76 mm or 152 mm cores.
At 0.05 mm the foil is at the lighter end of the container range: thin enough to keep a shallow tray economical, thick enough to hold a wall and a corner radius after drawing. 3003 is one of the grades most often specified at this thickness because it draws predictably, which is why the same material appears in lids, smoothwall containers and lighter catering trays.
Alloy and temper have to match the depth of draw and the wall thickness of the container rather than a catalogue figure, so a container is usually quoted against the part itself. Where the container is printed or lacquered after forming, surface condition matters as much as gauge; tell us the coating system and the intended use so that the surface can be agreed in advance.
Typical uses include takeaway trays and bowls, catering containers, lids and smoothwall containers, and lighter baking and roasting pans. Where the container has to go from freezer to oven without distortion, tell us the temperature range the part will see.
Rolls are supplied eye to sky or eye to wall on wooden pallets with a moisture barrier wrap for sea freight. Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the container dimensions, the draw depth and the required temper, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
