Product description
8011 aluminium foil at 0.03 mm in H24 is a container stock, supplied 1000 mm wide on 76 mm or 152 mm cores and available plain or lacquered.
The packaging range quotes container stock from 0.03 mm to 0.09 mm. At 0.03 mm this product sits at the thin end of that band, which is the part of the range used where the container is formed once and not expected to carry much load: a shallow tray, a lid, a dish that goes from the line to the shelf without being stacked deep.
8011 is one of the three container alloys the range carries, alongside 3003 and 3004, and it is the one used where formability matters more than stiffness. At this gauge the foil has to flow into a corner radius without thinning out or splitting, and 8011 does that more easily than the manganese alloys. The trade is that a tray formed from 8011 at 0.03 mm is softer in the hand than the same tray in 3003, which matters as soon as the pack is stacked or the lid is pressed on.
H24 is the quarter-hard temper the range supplies for this work. It gives the formed tray enough body to keep its shape after the tool opens, without the springback that makes a harder temper difficult to set.
What a converter has to settle before the order is not the alloy but the forming: the depth of the draw, the corner radius, whether the tray will be lidded and heat sealed, and how the finished pack will be stacked. Those answers decide the specification.
Typical uses include thin container stock, formed trays and lids, and shallow food containers.
Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the forming depth, the width you need and the surface you want, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
