Product description
8011 aluminium foil at 0.04 mm in H24 is a container gauge, supplied 1200 mm wide on 76 mm or 152 mm cores.
The packaging range supplies container stock from 0.03 mm to 0.09 mm. At 0.04 mm this product sits at the light end of that band, where the part is a shallow tray, a lid or a container that has to hold its shape with as little material as the tool allows.
8011 is the container alloy for a reason. It forms into a cavity without splitting at the corner, takes a lacquer evenly, and heat-seals against a lid without the seal becoming the weak point. Where the draw is deeper or the tray has to carry more weight, a heavier gauge from the same band does that job better.
H24 is strain-hardened and stabilised. The part comes out of the tool with enough stiffness to hold its shape, resist denting in a nested stack and survive transport, while still forming cleanly on a press that is set up for semi-rigid stock.
What decides the specification is the part: the draw depth, the corner radius, whether the tray is lidded and heat-sealed, and how the finished container is stacked and handled. Those questions settle gauge and temper, and they are answered against the customer's own tool.
Typical uses include semi-rigid containers, formed trays and lidded packaging.
Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the container drawing, the width and the tool, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
