Product description
8021 aluminium foil at 0.02 mm in H18 is a lidding foil for strip and blister packaging, supplied 900 mm wide on 76 mm or 152 mm cores and available plain or coated with a heat seal lacquer.
The pharmaceutical range covers two alloys, 8011 and 8021, with lidding thickness quoted from 0.02 mm to 0.03 mm. 0.02 mm is the lower end of that band, which is the gauge chosen when the lid has to seal across the pocket without adding stiffness the pack does not need.
At this thickness the foil is the lid rather than the body of the pack, and it normally carries a heat seal lacquer. The lacquer is what bonds to the blister or strip film, so the lacquer type is agreed against the film your line runs rather than picked from a list. Where the lid is printed, the same surface carries the print, and that print has to hold through the sealing temperature without lifting or scuffing.
Surface is supplied bright and plain, or with an HSL heat seal lacquer coating. Width is slit to your line anywhere inside the 200 mm to 1000 mm range, and rolls travel in a moisture barrier bag inside a wooden case, because a lacquer that has taken up moisture will not seal cleanly on arrival.
Typical uses include PTP blister lidding, strip packaging, and sachet or pouch lidding.
Minimum order quantity is 1 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the film, the lacquer type and the slit width you need, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
