Product description
8021 aluminium foil at 0.025 mm in H18 is a blister lidding foil, supplied 900 mm wide on 76 mm or 152 mm cores and available plain or coated with a heat seal lacquer.
The pharmaceutical range covers two alloys, 8011 and 8021, with lidding thickness quoted from 0.02 mm to 0.03 mm and heavier gauges used where the pack is formed. 0.025 mm sits in the middle of that band: thick enough that the lid stays flat across the pocket when the machine pulls it, thin enough that the seal still breaks the way the pack design intends.
At this gauge the foil is the lid rather than the body of the pack, and it normally carries a heat seal lacquer. The lacquer is what bonds to the blister film, so the lacquer type has to be agreed against the film your line runs rather than picked from a list. Where the lid is printed, the same surface carries the print, and that print has to survive the sealing temperature without lifting or scuffing.
Surface is supplied bright and plain, or with an HSL heat seal lacquer coating. Width is slit to your blister line anywhere inside the 200 mm to 1000 mm range, and rolls are protected for sea freight, because a lacquer that has taken up moisture will not seal cleanly on arrival.
Typical uses include PTP blister lidding, strip packaging, and sachet or pouch lidding.
Minimum order quantity is 1 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the blister film, the lacquer type and the slit width you need, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
