Product description
8021 aluminium foil at 0.03 mm in H18 is a hard-temper blister gauge, supplied plain or coated with a heat seal lacquer and slit from 200 mm up to 1000 mm to suit your blister line.
The pharmaceutical range sets its thickness band at 0.02 mm to 0.03 mm for lidding, with heavier gauges used where the pack is formed. At 0.03 mm this product sits at the top of that band, which is the choice when the lidding has to bridge a deeper pocket, or when the line runs a wider web and the foil has to stay flat across its width.
8021 is one of the two alloys the pharmaceutical range covers, alongside 8011. Hard temper H18 is what makes this end of the band workable: the foil stays flat on the sealing platen instead of creasing, and it punches cleanly at the pocket. Where a heat seal lacquer is applied, it is the lacquer that bonds to the blister film, so the lacquer type has to be agreed against the film your line runs rather than picked from a list.
Surface is supplied bright and plain, or with an HSL heat seal lacquer coating. Rolls are protected for sea freight, because a lacquer that has taken up moisture will not seal cleanly when it reaches you.
Typical uses include PTP blister lidding, strip packaging, cold-form blister laminates, and sachet or pouch lidding.
Minimum order quantity is 1 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the blister film, the lacquer type and the slit width your line needs, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
