Product description
8079 aluminium foil at 0.009 mm is a thin converter gauge supplied for laminating, lidding and flexible packaging. It is available in widths from 100 mm to 1500 mm and on 76 mm or 152 mm cores, so it can be specified to suit an existing laminating or printing line instead of being trimmed on site.
At this gauge the foil is thin enough to keep material cost down and light enough for high-speed conversion, but the alloy still has to carry the formability that the next process needs. 8079 is one of the grades most often specified for thin foil conversion because it combines that formability with the surface quality that printing and adhesive bonding require. Foil at this thickness is supplied mill finish or bright, and smooth or embossed, depending on whether the next step is adhesive lamination, lacquering or printing.
Typical uses include flexible packaging laminates, lidding and lid film, sachets and pouches, and further slitting and rewinding. Where the foil is to be lacquered or laminated downstream, tell us the coating or adhesive system so that the surface condition can be agreed before the specification is fixed.
Rolls are supplied eye to sky or eye to wall on wooden pallets with a moisture barrier wrap for sea freight. Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Slit width, core diameter and roll diameter can be specified to order. Send the target thickness and tolerance, the slit width and the process step that follows ours, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
