Product description
8079 aluminium foil at 0.012 mm is a thin converter roll, supplied 1200 mm wide on 76 mm or 152 mm cores and available plain or lacquered.
The roll and sheet range quotes thickness from 0.006 mm up to 0.2 mm, width from 100 mm to 1500 mm and a core diameter of 76 mm or 152 mm. At 0.012 mm the foil sits in the lower half of that span, which is where a roll is bought as master width and slit down by the converter rather than ordered pre-cut.
8079 is the fine-gauge alloy in the range, and it is the one specified when the job is a very light web that still has to run without breaking. What matters at this thickness is less the alloy than the condition of the roll: a gauge that wanders across the width will not laminate evenly, and an edge that has been rolled over at the slitter becomes a tear several hundred metres into the run.
Soft temper O keeps a gauge this thin workable. The foil follows the customer's own web path without cracking, takes an adhesive evenly rather than springing away from it, and rewinds without the wrinkles that show up later as print or lamination defects.
Typical uses include converter and lamination stock, lids and sachets, and thin-gauge general wrapping.
Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the slit widths your line runs, the core diameter and the surface you need, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
