Product description
8079 aluminium foil at 0.03 mm in O temper is barrier stock for laminated structures, supplied 1200 mm wide on 76 mm or 152 mm cores.
8079 was developed for exactly this job: down-gauging a packaging ply without opening the barrier. Its grain structure is fine and even, which is what lets a thin web stay closed when it is drawn, folded and creased rather than tearing open where the metal is stretched.
At 0.03 mm the ply is above the very thin converter band and below the container band. That is the part of the range where the foil stops being a coating and starts being the barrier layer in its own right, carrying the moisture and light duty in the structure while the sealant and the print do their work on either side.
O temper is fully soft. It conforms at the laminating nip, it follows a fold without springing back, and it dead-folds where the pack needs a crease to stay put.
What decides the specification is the structure and the abuse it will take: whether the foil is the food-contact layer or sits behind a film, how deep the pack is drawn, what the pouch has to survive in transit, and what the finished pack has to keep out. Those questions are answered against the customer's own structure.
Typical uses include barrier laminates, pouch plies and lidding structures where a solid metal layer is required.
Minimum order quantity is 3 MT per size, and loading is from Qingdao, Tianjin or Shanghai. Send the structure, the width and the filling line, and we will confirm the specification that fits.
